Wilson's Camping Shop, a place to come to get started or to refresh. So let's go camping! Just think driving down the road with the whole family for the weekend or for the week. It's a positive adventure when the family can spend time in the great outdoors. Maybe a little fishing with the kids or bike riding. A nature hike-see the great outdoors first hand. There are many campgrounds with lots to do right on the grounds at little or no cost. Or most campgrounds are located near interesting points of interest for the whole family. No mater if you are two, twenty-two or even seventy-two-any age in between, camping can to lots of fun. Most "experienced campers" have seen the guy that pulls into the campground after dark with his kids. The kids are tired from riding in the car, their hungry. Here's this poor guy, trying to set up his new or borrowed tent in the dark, doesn't have a clue how to do it and his kids are whining their hungry or running around, getting in his way, he's getting frustrated, yells at his kids and wife or whomever is around to yell at. THIS CAMPING TRIP IS OFF TO A GREAT START ISN"T IT!! OK, let's start over. Before you leave to go camping--if you have a new or borrowed camping equipment take it out, set the tent up in the backyard, get familiar with how to set is up. Get familiar with your other camping gear as well. For your first camping experience, go to a campground that's close to home, arrive at your destination with plenty of day light left to set up. Bring along some snacks for the kids so that you don't have to cook as soon as you get there. Make out a check list to make sure you have everything-the nice thing about being close to home is if you do forget something you find you can not do with out it is not hard to go home for it. Then always remember to add it to your check list for the next time you go. Now you will have some experience for when you go further from home. Just remember to get there in the day time with plenty of daylight left to set-up. It will save a lot of aggravation for you. Remember to check your list and if you would need anything before you go, check out Wilson's Camping Shop. Happy Camping
